Below are testimonials from our esteemed partners and exhibitors:

Rituj Agarwal, Director of Commercial Refrigeration Products at Haier Appliances India Pvt Ltd, expressed his thoughts on Haier’s Title partnership with IICE 2023. He mentioned that Haier has been associated with the event for 8 years, serving as the Title Partner. The event has always been a vibrant and enjoyable experience, and we truly appreciate the wonderful ambiance it provides. Our journey began with a small stall, but over the years, the exhibition has grown significantly, with numerous stalls showcasing their best offerings. The display of products and services is truly magnificent, and we have received enthusiastic responses not only from India but also from our neighboring countries.

This exhibition provides us with a valuable platform to showcase our products. Typically, these products are not readily available for viewing in the market, but here, we can proudly present our freezers, new launches, and innovative creations to our clients. The response has been overwhelming, and organizing an event of this magnitude requires a dedicated team, which AIM Events has excelled at. IICE has transformed the industry from a small-scale event to a grand platform, and we believe that being a part of it is essential for our growth alongside the consumer market. This allows us to be a continual part of the show to enhance our product with the latest technology trends.

At the event, the Kap Group proudly served as the Platinum Partner, and we’d like to share the perspective of its Managing Director, Puneet Duggal. “The Kap Group encompasses a diverse range of products and services, including printing and packaging, ice cream cones, laminate tubes, conemaking, and food packaging machinery and equipment. We take pride in offering an extensive array of products and services, all crafted with 40 years of expertise, utilizing state-of-the-art machinery”. “Participating in this event provides us with the opportunity to connect with our valued clients and introduce ourselves to promising startups. We extend our support by offering training and sharing our expertise in ice cream production, machinery, and the associated infrastructure required for successful operations.

We invite each of you to approach our company by this platform for any knowledge or assistance we can

provide. Your success is our priority, and we are here

to help you thrive”.

Nalin Sharma, MD, Lotus Enterprises, representing the Chinese company called Hong Kong Starland Group has been another prime Platinum Partner at IICE 2023. Hong Kong Starland Group is a Hong Kong based enterprises that specializes in manufacturing various ice cream-related products, including sugar cones and wafer cones, as well as offering an automatic rolled sugar cone production line. When speaking to the editorial team at the floor, Nalin spoke passionately about the ice cream event. “This show has been pretty good for us as we have met many friends from the ice cream industry. We have also made some good deals at the show as well. And we look forward for the next year participation”.

The show also had Morde Foods as its Gold Partner. Headed by Chandrakant & Harshal Morde, the MORDE legacy, with over 35 years in the FMCG industry, speaks for itself. MORDE FOODS sources cocoa from Ghana, Ivory Coast, and India, offering a comprehensive range of chocolate products including chocolates, fillings, creams, compounds, cocoa products, decorations, inclusions, chocopastes, and choco-dips. As always, this platform remains true to its word, bringing together the entire ice cream industry under one umbrella all at once. We stand with IICE, no matter which city we are in. One of the exhibitors, Palsgaard, is a hundred-yearold Danish company that has developed emulsifiers  and stabilizers, and they are now introducing them to the Indian market. Cai Clemen Christensen, Managing Director for India, and Surender Kumar, Head of Sales for India, were present at the event and shared their perspectives.

India offers a vast playground for the ice cream business, and we are thrilled to be a part of this event. We recognize that the industry is growing by leaps and bounds every year. This exhibition provides us with a platform to connect with the entire ice cream industry and its allied sectors. Our goal here is to showcase our offerings and support the industry in any way we can.

We applaud the organizers for their exceptional effort in hosting this unique exhibition, which we believe is unparalleled in Asia. The presence of industry leaders and their willingness to share their knowledge and expertise is a testament to the collective commitment to boost this thriving industry.

We are one of the oldest brands in the chest freezers lineup, glass top, and deep freezers, and we have received positive responses and promising leads. This event will facilitate our outreach to both current and potential customers who require our products, establishing our reputation as a premium player in the cold chain industry, offering solutions for frozen food items. The impressive atmosphere here leaves us eager not to miss the upcoming event in Gandhinagar in 2024.

Bhupindra Singh Sobti, Director of Guru Laminators, shared, “I have been participating in this show for the past 4 years, and it has consistently delivered wonderful returns. As APEDA focuses on promoting exports of GI certified agricultural goods, the food exhibition AAHAR 20222 will promote the topic “Geographical Indication Products.”

In collaboration with the India Trade Promotion Organization, the Agricultural & Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) is co-organizing the 36th edition of Asia’s largest B2B international food and hospitality show, AAHAR 2022. (ITPO).

The four-day event, which will take place in Pragati Maidan in New Delhi, will begin on April 26.

Keeping Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s demand for ‘local for vocal’ and ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ in mind, the exhibition will highlight the topic “Geographical Indication Products,” as APEDA focuses on promoting exports of GI certified agricultural products.

As the fair attracts a large number of importers from all over the world, AAHAR is part of a series of export promotion initiatives undertaken by APEDA, which works under the Ministry of Commerce and Trade, to showcase agricultural and processed food products to global players in the food and beverage industry.

Aside from AAHAR, APEDA sponsors national events such as the Organic World Congress, BioFach India, and others to promote agri-exports.

The GI Registry has recognised over 150 food and agricultural goods as GI, with 123 GI items falling under APEDA’s jurisdiction until March 2022.

APEDA has established a 3,000-square-meter theme pavilion in Hall No. 3, Ground Floor at AAHAR, where registered proprietors of GIs can showcase their products.

More than 80 exporters from various agricultural product categories, including as GI goods, processed food, organic, frozen food items, millets, and so on, are participating in the APEDA pavilion.

Ready to Eat (RTE), Ready to Serve (RTS), Ready to Consume (RTC), plant-based meat products, dehydrated products, chocolate, grains, frozen food, herbal products, juices, honey, dairy products, and other products will be showcased at the fair by Indian manufacturers for importers from several leading countries.

APEDA has also set up dedicated stalls for exporters from the North East Region (NER) and Himalayan states such as Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh, as well as for women entrepreneurs, Farmer Producers Organizations (FPOs), start-ups, and exporters of millets and millets products. More than 40 people are taking part in these categories, and each one will have its own stand at the APEDA pavilion.

According to DGCI&S statistics, agricultural exports will increase by 19.92% to $50.21 billion in 2021-22. The growth rate is impressive since it exceeds the 17.66% growth rate of $41.87 billion attained in 2020-21, despite extraordinary logistical obstacles such as high freight prices, container shortages, and so forth.

However, APEDA has made history by exporting $25.6 billion in agricultural and processed food goods, accounting for 51% of India’s overall agriculture exports of $50 billion.

“APEDA’s imaginative strategy, aggressive and constant efforts have helped India to establish itself as a consistent and quality provider of agro goods,” stated Dr. M.Angamuthu, Chairman of APEDA.

APEDA also launches the registration of horticultural pack-houses in order to fulfil the quality criteria of the worldwide market. The registration of export units for peanut shelling, grading, and processing facilities, for example, is to assure quality compliance for both EU and non-EU nations.

APEDA registers meat processing plants and abattoirs to ensure compliance with worldwide food safety and quality standards. Another important project is the creation and deployment of traceability systems to assure importing nations’ food safety and quality compliances. APEDA develops and disseminates diverse international trade analytical information, market access information among exporters, and addresses trade queries in order to increase exports.

Long before the advent of the Popeyes Chicken Sandwich and the runaway plant-based burger trend, we’ve had a borderline-obsessive focus on telling you about the latest from chains like Wendy’s and Burger King, how to order from In-N-Out Burger’s secret menu, and even how to get, say, your favorite nuggets for free. Now, we’re taking our fast food expertise and our unmatched hunger for all things served in grease-stained bags to the next level.

Introducing The Fasties, Thrillist’s first-ever fast food awards, arriving on Wednesday, February 19. Think glitzy TV and movie award show, but to honor the best things that came out of fast food restaurants in 2019, and uh, decidedly shorter.
The 16 award categories range from Best Sauce to Best New Menu Item of the Year. We’ll finally put the “Fried Chicken Sandwich Wars” to rest (at least, for now) by presenting a winner in the Best Fried Chicken Sandwich category. Among the highest honors are Regional Chain of the Year and Chain of the Year. The Most Valuable Pickle (MVP) award will finally give the savory sandwich toppings the recognition they deserve. There won’t be a celebrity red carpet, but there will be a ketchup carpet and an “In Memoriam” reel honoring the menu items we lost throughout the year.
Yes, handing out golden burger trophies to fast food chains may sound ridiculous, but… that’s kind of the point. We take fast food seriously, but we also don’t take ourselves too seriously. Look no further than our wild, hour-long podcast about Taco Bell or this super-specific ranking of McDonald’s dipping sauces. The Fasties are the ultimate embodiment of this intense — yet playful — focus on fries, Frosties, and everything in between.
The 2020 Fasties winners will be announced via an awards show on Thrillist’s YouTube channel and here on Thrillist.com just in time for lunch at 12pm ET on February 19. In the meantime, grab a chicken sandwich, check out the nominees, and vote for the People’s Choice in a few of the categories below.

Hyderabad  to host 3rd WMNC on 9th-10th Jan 2020

Hyderabad: Modernization of Indian Mithai and Namkeen industry has created an aura of immense competition and is giving a tough time to big industries and rivals like chocolate, ice cream, other desserts and foreign snacks companies. “The industry has crossed Rs.100,000cr mark and will definitely show a double digit growth rate in the next decade year on year”, informed Virendra Jain, President, Federation of Sweets and Namkeen Manufacturers-FSNM. Firoz H Naqvi, Director of FSNM stated that this industry has been facing many issues related to different slabs of GST, food safety and other compliances and could have performed much better if these challenges were not there.

The Mithai and Namkeen industry  is one of the oldest businesses in India serving the country since ages. The time  has arrived, gearing up this industry to  modernise and upgrade itself and we can see the results shaping up in front of us. “Today Namkeen can be found in every nook and corner, from a small village to  every Mandir, Dargah or Gurudwara,” said Firoz Naqvi, and also added that industry has more than 100,000 manufacturers across the country doing humongous  business, even though a majority of them are not counted in the total  turnover of organised business category.

Automation has played a great role in the development of this industry. There are a number of snacks and namkeen manufacturers who had a very humble start, but today they are doing great business and are making hundreds of tons of namkeens and snacks per day. Companies like Haldirams, Balaji, Bikano, Bikaji, Yellow Diamond, Cornitos have already made their footprints not only in national market but also overseas.

The industry employs more than 1 crore people directly and many more indirectly. It is the biggest buyer of raw materials such as flour, besan, sugar, ghee, oils and spices in the country. In fact today, in India a modern sweet arcade is somewhat structurally similar to a big jewelry shop; indicating the growth of this industry in the premium league Almond House, Bikanerwala, Asha Sweets, Haldirams, A2B and many other brands have all invested hugely in the interiors of their showrooms to give world class experience to their customers.

Jain told the media persons in the recently held press meet of the FSNM in Hyderabad that this industry will further grow in coming years and will show the way to the entire country how traditions and traditional business can lead from the front.

The food industry in India is one of the fastest growing markets of indigenous economy and its presence is also felt abroad. Some 500 types of mithai, namkeens and savories are sold in India and overall snack product market inclusive of sweet treats.

The branded segment is increasing at the rate of 25 per cent per annum whereas the entire market is growing at the rate of 10-12 per cent. This segment has the maximum value addition, not just in monetary terms but also at adding shelf life to the product or ensuring that there is reach to rural areas. Namkeen consumption is high in Western and Northern states of India and even Southern states have picked up on consumption rate.

Needing to have collective representation, the Mithai and Namkeen industry has united under the wings of FSNM – an organisation that gave it a face in the international arena. And now FSNM  has started making database on pan India level, which will not only increase the awareness among trade and industry members but will  also help the government in proper implementation of their schemes and policies.

FSNM is organizing its 3rd Convention WMNC 2020 in Hyderabad on 9th -10th January 2020 at Hitex Exhibition Centre.

About 3000+ manufacturers are expected to attend this two days grand convention and exhibition. The exhibition will have approximately 150 stalls displaying different kinds of technologies, packaging materials, raw materials and ingredients.Naqvi informed that people from more than 10 different countries are expected to attend the show. Manufactures from Nepal and Bangladesh have also taken a keen interest in the show, as being in the same geographical location, they share similar food preferences and tastes.

In the press meet Director of Almond House, ChaitanyaMuppala told the media persons, “We are very fortunate that Hyderabad is hosting 3rd WMNC. This show is taking place for the 1st time in South India, hence we are expecting robust response from all over 5 southern states”. Muppala also informed that Almond House is the Title Partner of this show and invited all the people interested in this industry for better experience and knowledge for the growth of their businesses.
